Young Adults
The YA Group at SPSA is a vibrant, growing ministry that provides young adults (18-35 year olds) with a variety of ways to get involved at SPSA. Get involved through:
The Open Book Currently this Young Adult Bible Study is undertaking Marcus Borg's Experiencing the Bible Again for the First Time Join us! Every Sunday @ 10am in the Parlor.
Monthly YA Brunches Come and fill up your body and soul with some food, fellowship and fun. These monthly brunches usually occur on the first Sunday of the month following the 11am worship service and are FREE to all young adults.
YAs @ The Movies Once a month we meet up for a night at the movies. We typically see films that have an element of spirituality to them and go for coffee afterward to discuss how the film impacts our life of faith.
Mission Trips Young Adults had a work trip in 2007 to Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County, working on several homes in the Bridgeport, CT, area. Bridgeport is Connecticut's largest and poorest city.
Retreats In addition to all-church retreats for the whole SPSA community, in 2007 the young adults took their own beach retreat. Rumor has it that '08 might include a ski retreat and spiritual retreat!
In addition to all these things listed above, there is so much more. To inquire about the YA Ministry or to be included in our listserv, contact Manny Santiago, Campus & Young Adult Minister.

Campus Ministry @ Columbia University
We have a vital presence on the campus of Columbia University, offering worship called the Gathering, Bible study, mission and service, and fellowship opportunities to the students, faculty and staff of Columbia University. The United Methodist Campus Ministry has an office at Earl Hall (room 101), and provides a United Methodist witness to the community at Columbia. For more information contact Manny Santiago, Campus & Young Adult Minister or check out our Facebook group - Methodists at Columbia.

Adult Education & Spiritual Growth
The Adult Education & Spiritual Growth committee offers programs, based upon requests, ranging from one session to eight weeks. Programs offered currently, to date, and in the future include a Sunday School class, Explorations in Scripture and Theology, Living our Faith affinity groups, and Creative Expression.
