Fellowship
SP&SA; offers many opportunities for members and friends to gather for the relaxed enjoyment of each others’ gifts, talents and company. The goals of our fellowship activities include:
- sponsoring events for members and friends of the church to gather for relaxed enjoyment of each other’s gifts, talents and company
- offering opportunities for relaxation and reflection on God’s meaning in our lives outside of our urban environment
- providing purposeful opportunities for the many generations within our church to come together in common activities by encouraging everyone from the very young to the very old to participate
Fellowship highlights include:
- monthly potluck dinners, including the pre-Thanksgiving potluck, the Christmas Eve dinner and the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper
- affordable weekend getaways to Shelter Island and upstate New York
- over 25 summer-in-the-city activities for groups from three-or-four to over twenty people
We feel blessed by the diversity of people who take advantage of fellowship events. Our getaways have been attended by people in every decade of life, from pre-teens to octogenarians.
